Information Services and Learning Resources (Library)
The Chandlery houses our Information Services and Learning Resources team, providing extensive digital and physical library collections and a supportive environment for all students.
The Chandlery creates a warm and vibrant learning space where students are encouraged to collaborate, explore, innovate, think critically, and become adept users of information, all while fostering a love for reading.
In a world shaped by rapid change and digital innovation, The Chandlery remains central to learning, discovery and connection. While technology reshapes how we access information, we continue to champion the joy and value of reading for pleasure.
The Chandlery is designed over two (2) levels. Downstairs is a vibrant space designed to support the learning and wellbeing of our students. These spaces are lively hubs where boys come together to read, learn, explore, and connect. Upstairs offers a designated zone for Year 5 and 6 students to enjoy their bespoke library collection, with other areas on this floor focused on study and collaboration, helping students with research, assignments and exam preparation.
Across all year levels, The Chandlery promotes a love of reading through curated collections and engaging programs. We also help students develop vital information and digital literacy skills to navigate today’s complex, connected world.
More than just book collections, The Chandlery is an inclusive, safe and welcoming space that supports each boy’s journey at Eddies - encouraging curiosity, critical thinking and a lifelong connection to stories and ideas.
In the spirit of reconciliation, St Edmund’s College acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
