Our College

As a Years 5 - 12 boys’ Catholic day school, St Edmund’s College is one of Queensland’s oldest Catholic boys’ schools, with a proud history dating back to 1892.

Rooted in the Edmund Rice tradition, the College embraces the four Touchstones of the EREA Charter, Inclusive Community, Justice and Solidarity, Liberating Education and Gospel Spirituality. These guiding principles shape our culture and underpin everything we do, inspiring our students to become compassionate, socially responsible young men.

Complementing these Touchstones are our core values, the Four Rs: Respect, Resilience, Reflection, and Responsiveness. These values are embedded into daily life at St Edmund’s, playing a vital role in developing strong character and nurturing empathy, kindness, and a sense of purpose in our students.

An Eddies education extends far beyond the classroom. Our co-curricular programs, including sport, the arts, and community service, provide rich opportunities for holistic development, encouraging students to grow, serve, and lead. Through these experiences, boys are empowered to explore their passions and realise their potential.

As the world evolves, so too does our approach to education. While we honour our traditions and never forget our foundations, we are committed to continuous improvement and innovation. This ensures our students receive a contemporary, future-focused education.

By choosing St Edmund’s, you’re choosing to be part of the Eddies Team - a community dedicated to educating boys academically, physically, and spiritually, and shaping them into the leaders of tomorrow.

In the spirit of reconciliation, St Edmund’s College acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
