Careers and Personal Counselling

Careers Counselling

At St Edmund’s College, our Course and Careers Services work actively with boys in Years 9-12 to empower them to make informed decisions about subject and course selection as they progress through the school and explore tertiary and career pathways. This is done through the provision of information, counselling and transferable skill development programs. The aim is to enhance each boy's understanding of career opportunities and to increase their awareness of their interests and abilities, so they are well-equipped to make a smooth transition from school to further study and the workplace.

Personal Counselling

As part of St Edmund’s ongoing commitment to student wellbeing, we have two (2) College Counsellors who provide social and emotional support to students and families. The College Counsellors liaise closely with the Assistant Principal – Students, House Deans, Homeroom Teachers, Director of Inclusive Education and Teachers in the overall pastoral care of students and families.

In the spirit of reconciliation, St Edmund’s College acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
