| Rohan,
Ipswich St Edmund’s College Year 12 –won selection
as one of 20 Queensland delegates to the 2003 NATIONAL SCHOOL'S
CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION. Rohan learnt and honed his skills
up through the grades as a St Edmund’s team debater,
various school based speaking contests and SEC’s interactive
& dynamic English program.
With
Lucas as his support counsel, Rohan was required to prepare
and deliver a speech on why AUSTRALIA
SHOULD HAV E
A BILL OF RIGHTS during the Queensland delegates selection
contest.
He flew to Canberra where he attended the Convention which
ran from Wednesday 26-03-03 to Friday 28-03-03. Delegates
engaged in a series of policy discussion groups where delegates
put their views to the test.
As
part of the Convention ceremonies Rohan attended a dinner
at the High Court of Australia and a reception at Government
House. |
