Our College is proud of the achievement and success of our Stage Band, Concert Band, Orchestra and Choir. The purpose of the St Edmund's College Bands and Ensembles is to provide music for a variety of College and public functions plus giving students the opportunity to perform together. These include: - Masses - Assemblies - Weekly Liturgies - Sporting events - Musical productions - Speech Night - Community Engagements - Public Performances Tuition for beginners to advanced students is available on all instruments. Lessons are rotated through the school teaching cycle so as to cause as little disruption as possible to the students' academic studies. Also, before and after school times we open this to parents and other family members. A limited number of school-owned instruments are available for loan on a first come, first served basis. Each boy who learns a band instrument is encouraged to play in the College Bands ensemble, once the required playing standard is achieved. The College Bands rehearse after school.
